DeSmog was founded in January 2006 to clear the PR pollution that is clouding the science and solutions to climate change. They claim to be the world’s number one source for accurate, fact-based information regarding global warming misinformation campaigns.

Mongabay is a nonprofit environmental science and conservation news platform with over 800 correspondents in some 70 countries. With evidence-driven objective journalism, they write mainly about forests, wildlife, oceans, and the conservation sector, improving understanding of the concurrent global scale forces undermining the health of Earth’s systems.

USA based sites

Common Dreams is a non-profit independent newscenter created in 1997 as a new media model. It is kept to move forward by tens of thousands of small donations  by its readers. So it maintains an editorial independence. It defines its mission as: “To inform. To inspire. To ignite change for the common good.”.

Consortium News was founded in 1995 by one of the greatest investigative reporters Robert Parry (1949-2018).

Responsible Statecraft is a site full of information by Quincyinst.Org of which the well formed line base sounds as “The practical and moral failures of U.S. efforts to unilaterally shape the destiny of other nations by force requires a fundamental rethinking of U.S. foreign policy assumptions. So does the emergence of a multi-polar world in the 21st century where economic power is more evenly shared across nations. Yet the influence of the “military industrial complex” that President Eisenhower warned of has led to a situation where the foreign policy debate within Washington is intentionally constrained and fails to incorporate the diversity of views needed for that rethinking.

Truthout exposes systemic world wide injustice and provides a platform for transformative ideas, through in-depth investigative reporting and critical analysis.

Britain based sites

New Left Review analyses world politics, the global economy, state powers and protest movements; contemporary social theory, history and philosophy; cinema, literature, heterodox art and aesthetics. It runs a regular book review section and carries interviews, essays, topical comments and signed editorials on political issues of the day. ‘Brief History of New Left Review’ gives an account of NLR’s political and intellectual trajectory since its launch in 1960. All articles published since 1960 are available on the website.
